Refund & Returns Policy

At SASProductions LLC ("we," "us," "our"), operating shootingastargear.com under the brand "Shooting A Star Gear," we want every customer to be satisfied with their purchase. This Refund & Returns Policy explains your rights, our process, and the timelines you can expect. By placing an order at shootingastargear.com, you agree to the terms below.
1. Return window
You may request a return within 30 days from the delivery date of your order. Returns requested after 30 days will not be accepted, except where required by applicable consumer protection law in your country or region.
2. Eligibility for return
To be eligible for a return, items must be:
- Unused, unworn, and in the same condition as received
- In the original packaging with all tags, labels, and accessories attached
- Free from signs of wear, damage, alteration, or odor
- Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number, receipt, or order confirmation email)
We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions or to issue a partial refund based on the condition of the returned item.
3. Non-returnable items
The following items are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded:
- Gift cards and store credit
- Items marked "Final Sale," "Clearance," or "Non-Returnable" at the time of purchase
- Customized, personalized, or made-to-order products
- Intimate apparel, undergarments, swimwear, or pierced jewelry (for hygiene reasons)
- Digital products, downloadable content, or software licenses
- Items damaged through misuse, neglect, improper care, normal wear and tear, or unauthorized modification
- Hazardous materials, perishable goods, or items prohibited from return shipment by carrier regulations
4. How to start a return
- Email support@shootingastargear.com within the 30-day return window with:
- Your order number
- The item(s) you wish to return
- Reason for the return
- Photos (required for damaged, defective, or wrong-item claims)
- We will respond within 2 business days with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return shipping instructions
- Securely package the item(s) in the original packaging and include the RMA number
- Ship the return to the address provided in the RMA email using a trackable shipping method
- Once received and inspected (typically within 3–5 business days of arrival), we will email you confirming approval or rejection of your refund
Returns sent without an RMA number may be refused or experience significant processing delays.
5. Return shipping costs
- Buyer's remorse, sizing, change of mind, or preference: Customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
- Our error (wrong item, defective product, damage in transit, item not as described): We cover return shipping and provide a prepaid return label. Original shipping fees are refunded in full.
We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance for items valued over $75. We are not responsible for returned items lost, stolen, or damaged during transit when sent without tracking.
6. Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved:
- Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval
- Depending on your bank, card issuer, or payment provider, an additional 3–10 business days may be required for the refund to appear on your statement
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error
If rejected (e.g., item returned outside the window, in unacceptable condition, or outside the eligibility criteria), we will notify you by email and arrange to return the item to you at your expense, or dispose of it after 14 days if no response is received.
7. Damaged, defective, or wrong items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or you received the wrong item, contact us within 7 days of delivery at support@shootingastargear.com with:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the item, the damage or defect, and all packaging (including shipping label)
- A brief description of the issue
We will resolve the issue with one of the following at our discretion: a free replacement, a full refund (including original and return shipping), or store credit. Claims submitted after 7 days may be denied at our sole discretion, except where required by applicable law.
8. Exchanges
We do not currently process direct exchanges. To exchange an item:
- Initiate a return for the original item using the process above
- Place a new order for the desired item
This ensures the item you want remains in stock and your new order ships without delay.
9. International returns
International customers (outside the United States) are responsible for:
- Return shipping costs (unless the return is due to our error)
- Any customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees, or import charges associated with the return
- Declaring the package as "Returned Merchandise" on customs forms to avoid additional charges
We are not responsible for international packages held, delayed, lost, or destroyed by customs authorities.
10. EU, UK, and EEA customers — Statutory cooling-off period
If you are a consumer located in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, you have the right to cancel your order and receive a full refund within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason, in accordance with applicable consumer protection law (including the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).
To exercise this right, email support@shootingastargear.com with a clear statement of your decision to cancel. You must return the goods within 14 days of notifying us. Refunds will be issued within 14 days of our receipt of the returned goods, using the same payment method used for the original transaction. You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless we agree otherwise in writing.
This statutory right is in addition to, and does not replace, the standard return policy described above.
11. Australia, Canada, and other jurisdictions
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to the Australian Consumer Law, the Canadian Consumer Protection Act, or equivalent statutes. Where local law provides greater protection than this policy, local law applies.
12. Late or missing refunds
If you have not received an approved refund within 10 business days:
- Re-check your bank or card account
- Contact your credit card company — refunds may take time to be officially posted
- Contact your bank — there is often processing delay before posting
- If you have completed steps 1–3 and still have not received your refund, contact us at support@shootingastargear.com with your order number and refund approval email
13. Order cancellations
Orders may be cancelled within 2 hours of placement by emailing support@shootingastargear.com. After 2 hours, orders may have entered fulfillment and cannot be cancelled — you will need to follow the standard return process upon delivery.
14. Chargebacks and disputes
We encourage customers to contact us first to resolve any issue before initiating a chargeback with their bank or card issuer. Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us may delay refund resolution and, in cases of fraudulent disputes, may result in account suspension and recovery action. We respond to all legitimate chargeback inquiries within the timeframes required by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and PayPal.
15. Changes to this policy
We reserve the right to update this Refund & Returns Policy at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via our website. Orders placed before a policy change are governed by the policy in effect at the time of order.
