Warranty Policy

At SASProductions LLC ("we," "us," "our"), operating shootingastargear.com under the brand "Shooting A Star Gear," we stand behind the quality of every product sold. This Warranty Policy explains the coverage you receive on your purchase, what it covers, what it excludes, and how to make a warranty claim.
1. Limited warranty coverage
We provide a limited 1-year manufacturer's warranty on all products purchased directly from shootingastargear.com, beginning on the date of delivery. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and care.
Where the manufacturer of a specific product offers a longer warranty period, that extended warranty applies and is honored in addition to our standard 1-year coverage. Product-specific extended warranties (where applicable) are noted on the individual product page at the time of purchase.
2. What is covered
This warranty covers:
- Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
- Component failures occurring under normal use within the warranty period
- Functional defects that prevent the product from operating as designed and described
- Premature failure of electronic components (where applicable) under normal operating conditions
3. What is NOT covered
This warranty does not cover damage, defects, or failures caused by:
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, scratches, dents, or fading
- Misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, drops, impacts, or improper handling
- Use of the product outside its intended purpose or in conditions exceeding manufacturer specifications
- Unauthorized repair, modification, alteration, or disassembly
- Use of incompatible parts, accessories, software, or power sources
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, moisture, water damage (unless rated waterproof), corrosion, or environmental damage
- Power surges, electrical fluctuations, lightning strikes, or improper voltage
- Failure to follow product care instructions, user manuals, or installation guidelines
- Commercial, industrial, or rental use (unless the product is explicitly sold for such use)
- Cosmetic items including packaging, manuals, or accessories
- Consumable parts including batteries (after 90 days), bulbs, filters, fuses, and similar wear items
- Loss, theft, or damage during shipping after the original delivery
- Acts of God, natural disasters, or events beyond our reasonable control
- Products purchased from unauthorized resellers or third-party sellers (warranty is valid only on direct purchases from shootingastargear.com)
4. Warranty period by category

5. How to file a warranty claim
To submit a warranty claim, email support@shootingastargear.com within the warranty period with the following information:
- Order number and proof of purchase (order confirmation email or receipt)
- Product name and SKU (found on the product page or order confirmation)
- Detailed description of the defect or issue, including when it began

Clear photos and/or video showing:
- The product in its current condition
- The specific defect or malfunction
- The serial number or manufacturer label (if applicable)
- Original packaging and any included accessories
- Your shipping address and phone number for any required follow-up
Claims missing required information will be delayed until complete documentation is received.
6. Warranty claim process and timeline
- Submission acknowledgment: We confirm receipt of your claim within 2 business days
- Initial review: Our team reviews the claim and may request additional information, photos, or troubleshooting steps within 5 business days
- Manufacturer coordination (where applicable): If the claim requires manufacturer involvement, we coordinate directly with the supplier on your behalf. This step may extend the timeline by 7–14 business days
- Resolution determination: We notify you of the approved resolution by email
- Resolution fulfillment: Replacement, repair, or refund is processed within 5–10 business days of approval
Total claim resolution typically takes 10–30 business days depending on complexity, parts availability, and manufacturer response time.
7. Available remedies
At our sole discretion, an approved warranty claim may be resolved by one of the following:
- Repair: We arrange repair of the defective product at no cost to you
- Replacement: We ship a replacement of the same item, or — if discontinued or unavailable — a comparable product of equal or greater value
- Store credit: Issued at the original purchase price, valid for 12 months from issuance
- Refund: Full or partial refund to the original payment method, based on the condition of the product and time since purchase
We reserve the right to determine the appropriate remedy based on the nature of the defect, product availability, and time elapsed since purchase.
8. Shipping costs for warranty claims
- Within the first 30 days of delivery: We cover all shipping costs (return and replacement) for valid warranty claims
- After 30 days, within the warranty period: Customer is responsible for shipping the defective product to us. We cover return shipping of the repaired or replacement item
- International warranty claims: Customer is responsible for return shipping and any customs duties, taxes, or fees on the returned item. We cover the cost of shipping the resolution back to the customer
We strongly recommend using a trackable, insured shipping method when returning items for warranty service. We are not responsible for items lost, stolen, or damaged during return shipment.
9. Manufacturer warranties
Some products are covered by an additional manufacturer's warranty. In those cases:
- The manufacturer's warranty terms apply alongside our policy
- You may file a claim directly with the manufacturer or through us — we will coordinate on your behalf
- Manufacturer warranty terms, durations, and exclusions are determined solely by the manufacturer
- Where there is conflict between this policy and a manufacturer's warranty, the terms more favorable to the customer apply within the original warranty period
For Beyond LED Technology and other supplier-fulfilled products, we coordinate warranty claims directly with the manufacturer to ensure timely resolution.
10. Items returned that are not defective
If a product is returned under warranty and our inspection determines that:
- The product is functioning as designed and described, OR
- The damage or issue is excluded under Section 3 (What is NOT covered), OR
- The damage was caused after delivery and is not a manufacturing defect
We will notify you by email and provide one of the following options:
- Return the item to you at your expense (shipping quote provided in advance)
- Dispose of the item if no response is received within 14 days of our notification
A diagnostic and handling fee of up to $25 may apply for non-defective returns submitted as warranty claims.
11. Warranty transferability
This warranty extends only to the original purchaser of the product from shootingastargear.com and is non-transferable. Proof of original purchase is required for all warranty claims. Products resold, gifted (without original receipt), or transferred to another party are not covered.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- This limited warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty provided by SASProductions LLC
- We disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- Our total liability for any warranty claim is limited to the original purchase price of the product
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, loss of use, or property damage, arising from the use or inability to use the product
- Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you
13. Statutory consumer rights
This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect or limit, any statutory consumer rights you may have under applicable law in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to:
- The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (United States)
- The Australian Consumer Law (Australia)
- The Consumer Rights Act 2015 (United Kingdom)
- The Consumer Protection Act (Canada — applicable provincial legislation)
- The EU Consumer Sales Directive 1999/44/EC and Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU (European Union/EEA)
Where local consumer protection law provides greater rights or longer warranty periods than this policy, local law applies.
14. Disputes and resolution
We encourage all customers to contact us first to resolve any warranty dispute before initiating a chargeback, complaint, or legal action. Most claims can be resolved quickly through direct communication. Unresolved disputes may be escalated through:
- Our customer support team at support@shootingastargear.com
- Mediation through a mutually agreed third party
- Small claims court in the State of North Carolina (United States customers)
- Applicable consumer protection authorities in the customer's jurisdiction (international customers)
15. Changes to this warranty policy
We reserve the right to update this Warranty Policy at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via our website. Orders placed before a policy change are governed by the warranty in effect at the time of order.
